The Difference between Deep Groove Ball Bearings and Angular Contact Ball Bearings

The Difference between Deep Groove Ball Bearings and Angular Contact Ball Bearings

The "angular contact ball bearing" is the term used for special ball bearings. Similar to radial deep groove ball bearings made by China bearing manufacturer DALIAN GUANGYANG BEARING CO., LTD., the balls of angular contact ball bearings may pass through deep grooves of inner and outer rings with narrow bevels. Similarly, the relatively small contact area (point contact) between the ball and the raceway makes rolling resistance very small. The difference between angular contact ball bearings and China deep groove ball bearings lies in the following three aspects:

The contact angle of angular contact ball bearings is different from that of China deep groove ball bearings

The original contact angle of deep groove ball bearings is 0°. However, the contact angle of angular contact is bigger than 0°, which is generally 15°, 25° or 40°. The bearings whose contact angle is larger than 45° are thrust angular contact bearings.

The use of angular contact ball bearings is different from that of China deep groove ball bearings

Deep groove ball bearings provided by China bearing suppliers are suitable for bearing radial force, small axial force, combined axial and radial load as well as torque load, while angular contact ball bearings can bear single radial load and large axial load (which varies with different contact angles). The double pairing (depending on the pairing mode) can withstand bidirectional axial and torque loads. Angular contact ball bearings are designed to bear loads. The applied line of load is not perpendicular to the bearing axis, but at an angle (contact angle) relative to the vertical axis. Therefore, the shoulder design should make the bearing more visible around the ball (contact area) near the applied line (contact angle) to better support the load applied line at a certain angle. If the angular load is divided into radial and axial load shares, the design of angular contact ball bearings can only bear the axial load in one direction.

The limiting speed of angular contact ball bearings is different from that of China deep groove ball bearings

When other conditions remain the same, the limiting speed of angular contact ball bearings of the same size is higher than that of China deep groove ball bearings.
